As the academic year comes to a close, Carroll College is preparing to celebrate its newest class of graduates on Saturday, May 9.
A total of 278 students will be honored. This includes 228 students from Spring 2026, eight from Fall 2025, and 23 from Summer 2025.
The most popular major was business management and marketing, with 56 graduating seniors. Nursing closely follows with 51 graduates, and biology includes 31 graduates.
Carroll’s 116th commencement ceremony will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m outside in Nelson Stadium regardless of the weather.
On Friday, May 8, a mandatory graduation rehearsal will take place at Nelson Stadium at 1 p.m., followed by a president’s toast, ROTC commissioning, and pinning ceremonies.
On Saturday, May 9, Baccalaureate will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Cathedral. Graduation will follow at Nelson Stadium at 1 p.m.
On Sunday, May 10, graduates and their families can gather for a graduation brunch on campus at 9 a.m. Graduates, parents and friends will have one more chance to gather to reflect on their time at Carroll and celebrate their accomplishments
During the commencement ceremony, several academic awards will be presented to the graduates. The Michael Murphy Award honors a senior nominated by peers for embodying Carroll values. The Raymond G. Hunthausen Award recognizes a graduate who has committed to community service.
Academic excellence will be highlighted as six students are set to graduate and receive the Bishop Gilmore Award for maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout their time at Carroll.

“The class of 2026 has made its unique mark on Carroll through our traditions, contributions and lasting academic achievements,” said Conway.
