Both of the Carroll College Golf teams finished the week in third place at the 2023 Argo Invitational, held at Meadowlark Country Club in Great Falls.
The Carroll Men finished with a team score of 966 (+102), finishing behind Montana Tech (907 and tournament champion Rocky Mountain College (852).
JT Slivinski (Montpelier, Idaho / FR) fired an even par round of 72 on Tuesday, finishing in seventh place individually (227) to lead the Saints for the event.
Fellow freshman, TJ Fierling (North Bend, Wash. / FR) finished at No.15, shooting a three round total of 244.
Caleb Spangler (Havre, Mont. / SO) rebounded nicely from a down performance on day one, shooting 75 on Tuesday to finish at No. 17 with a three round total of 249.
Rocky’s Daniel SIgurjonsson finished at six-under par over the three-round event to win individual medalist honors.
On the Women’s side of the action, Carroll would also finish in third, with a team score of 684, behind Montana Tech (640) and Rocky Mountain College (612).
Katie Fagg (Missoula, Mont. / SR) carded a second round 75 (+3) to bounce back from an off-day on Monday, finishing the event in solo-fifth place (159).
Celi Chapman (Montana City, Mont. / FR) shot a final day round of 80 to finish No. 12 individually at 169.
Rounding out the Carroll top-three was Stella Claridge (Kalispell, Mont. / SO) who’s 175 two-day score placed her at No. 15 individually.
Valentine Zuleta from Rocky won the individual medalist honors with a one-under par, 143 two day total.
The Carroll teams will return to Helena with a small break in the action, allowing time for some extended practice ahead of their next event, the Beartooth Invitational, in Billings on October 2.
