The Carroll College Fighting Saints’ men’s and women’s Golf teams kicked off their seasons this Tuesday, September 12th in Shelby, MT at the Montana State-Northern invitational.

Both men’s and women’s teams finished third posting scores of +156 and +110. The women’s team played a 36-hole event, and many new faces had their first collegiate appearance, one of whom was freshman Stella Cambridge from Kalispell, Montana.

“Individually, the girls had 3 in the top 15. I feel like we could’ve played better but nevertheless, it was still a very fun first collegiate tournament,” Cambridge said.

“I love my team so far and I’m excited to see what happens next,” Cambridge said.

Cambridge finished 173 (+29) and was in the top 15.

Jonny Hillman, a senior on the men’s team, is also very excited to see what this season has to offer.

“The season is going great so far. We have a lot of new faces and added talent to both the men’s and women’s teams which are setting us up for a successful year,” said Hillman

Rocky Mountain College won the invitation for both men and women followed by Montana Tech in second and Carroll in third. The Saints will be back in action next Monday and Tuesday at Bill Roberts Golf Course here in Helena.
