Women’s golf finish fourth, men eighth to wrap up Fall

LAUREL, Mont. – The Carroll College golf teams wrapped up the fall portion of their 2025-26 wrap-around schedule on Tuesday, with the Women finishing fourth and the Men eighth at the Beartooth Invitational – hosted by Rocky Mountain College at the Laurel Golf Club.

The Carroll Women improved their position following a slightly-disappointing first round of the tournament, leapfrogging Dickinson State to finish fourth at the fall’s final event.

Senior leader Stella Claridge (Kalispell, Mont.) paced the Women on Tuesday, recording three birdies in a five-hole stretch en route to a final round 78 that saw her finish T-11 in the individual portion of the event (86-78 | 164). Alli Statstny (Murtaugh, Idaho / SO) was the next highest-placing Saint, finishing at 166 (86-80) to finish T-14, while her twin sister Ellie Stastny (Murtaugh, Idaho / SO) grabbed a top-20 finish at 171 (87-84). Addison Slivinski (Montpelier, Idaho / FR) was the final scorer for the Saints, going 88-89 (177) to finish 24th for Carroll.

Kyle Kennah (Laurel, Mont. / SO) was Carroll’s best on the Men’s side throughout the week, posting a final round 77 to finish +8 for the week (75, 72, 77) in a tie for 17th. Tanner Cromwell (Anaconda, Mont. / SO) was the next highest-placing Saint. The sophomore from Anaconda fired bookend rounds of 79-82-29 (240 | +24) to finish in 37th. TJ Fierling (North Bend, Wash. / JR) was three shots behind him, going 77-80-86 to finish at 243 (+27). Hudson Reinke (Filer, Idaho / SO) wrapped up the counting four scores, going 84-79-82 to finish at 245 (+29).

Host school, Rocky Mountain College, ran away with wins on both the Men’s and Women’s side of the action. The Men posted a team score of 841 (-23), while the Women shot 617 (+41), both winning by double digits.

Rocky’s Grace Metcalf (79-70 | -2) and Jared Smith (67-68-72 | -9) won the medalist honors on each side.

While the fall portion of the season comes to a close, the Fighting Saints are far from done for the year. Carroll will resume tournament play next spring, competing in several events ahead of the Frontier Conference Championships in Phoenix in April.
