Soccer teams head to conference championships

HELENA, Mont. – The 2026 Cascade Collegiate Conference regular season is officially in the books, and both the Carroll College Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams have qualified for this weekend’s CCC Championships, searching for a tournament crown and spot in the upcoming NAIA National Championships later this month.

The Carroll Women’s Soccer team earned a sixth-place finish in the league standings, finishing with a record of 6-2-4 in conference play that included a 4-1-1 stretch to end the season. They once again find themselves in the postseason tournament, and will begin with a quarterfinal matchup against in-state rival Rocky Mountain College on Saturday. The Battlin’ Bears finished third in the league with an 8-2-2 record.

For the second straight season, the Carroll Men (9-5-2, 8-31) earned the second seed in the Championship. An NAIA Men’s Soccer Championship qualifier each of the last two years, the Saints will begin their quest for the program’s first CCC tournament title on Saturday against seventh-seeded Oregon Tech in a rematch of last year’s quarterfinal.

Both quarterfinals are set for Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Lithia & Driveway Fields in Medford, Ore. – hosted jointly by Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech. The Women will kick-off at 11 a.m. (MDT) against Rocky, with the Men’s match set for 5 p.m. against the Owls.

The 12-team CCC means the league receives two auto-bids to the NAIA National Championship on each side of the action. The first bids are awarded to the regular season champions (WSOC: College of Idaho, MSOC: Rocky Mountain College) and the second two are given to the tournament champion. Should either Carroll team advance to the final and play against the regular season champion, they will be awarded the second auto-bid with a win or a loss.
