Weston Means, a Billings sophomore majoring in business management, placed first in the high jump with a height of 2.15 meters. This earned Means a spot as an All American. This was an improvement from last spring where he placed eighth as well as setting new personal bests.

“Our team went 11th place overall on the men’s side, which is fantastic because we haven’t been that high in a long time,” said Head Coach Harry Clark. “Weston’s win in the men’s high jump was incredible. He made 7 foot half inch on his first attempt, which won him the meet.” Clark joined the Saints as the Track Head Coach in 2013.

“The week down there was a really long week, but our kids did a great job. I thought that they couldn’t have done much better than they did,” said Clark. “They didn’t let the moment take them. They worked right through it and they did a really nice job. They were mentally prepared to do their events. Getting five All Americans in one meet was outstanding.”

The Fighting Saints will be looking to carry the momentum of a good meet into their first outdoor track and field meet at Missoula for the AI Manual Invitational on March 28-29.
