Saints Giving Day, a 24-hour, online fundraising campaign on March 21-22 designed to support Carroll departments, clubs, teams, and projects raised more than $200,000 from more than 1100 gifts.
Carroll supporters donated $214,369 from 1,157 different gifts, well above the $175,000 goal.
Carroll’s Golf program had the most donors, receiving 98 gifts totaling $11,044.
The Women’s Soccer team, the winners of the Power Hour Challenge, received $14,499.
“That money means so much to our team in terms of meals, new uniforms, and equipment essentials,” said Molly Molvig, a junior soccer player and nursing major from Billings. “We really can’t thank our donors enough.”
Sports teams weren’t the only programs receiving generous contributions. The Carroll College General Scholarship Fund raised the most money, earning $21,184.
Smaller programs, like the Big Sky Small World Student Podcast, also saw welcome success, meeting their goal of $1,500.
“We were blown away by all of the kind support, particularly support from current Carroll administrators, faculty, and staff! We’ll not only be able to get a new sign for our podcast, but we’ll be able to represent Carroll in doing targeted outreach next academic year, ” said Alan Hansen, a professor of communication who runs the podcast program. “The tagline is, ‘from the heart of Montana’ — Saints Giving Day showed us that Carroll truly is the heart of Montana!”
Topping the affiliation leadership board was alumni, with 289 donations.
Countless parents, friends, faculty, and staff supported Carroll Giving Day which will have positive impact across the campus.
