The College of Idaho Yotes held the lead in the first quarter, but not for long. The Saints played strong offense and defense throughout the game. Albrecht was able to score and bring us into the second quarter with a lead. After the first quarter, Carroll held the lead for the rest of the game and Eckstrom scored 5 points in the last quarter to give us our 14-point leading win.

“These last few wins have been important for continuing to build team chemistry and making sure that everyone is feeling comfortable,” says Albrecht. “We have a few big games coming up against ranked teams that will be a good test for us.” Albrecht was named defensive player of the week the week of Dec. 2.

On Nov. 26 in the game against Bushnell University, the girls finished with a strong final score of 71-45, with Albrecht as the top scorer with 30 points and captain and senior Kyndall Keller from Havre, Montana and majoring in Business, scoring 21 points. The Saints had a slow start in the first quarter but pulled ahead in the second quarter with help from Albrecht. Carroll played strong defense against Bushnell and was able to score 25 points in the third quarter, leading them to their sweeping win.

The streak had started on Nov. 20 with a 62-57 win against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from Arizona. Albrecht led the Saints with 20 points.

The Saints didn’t let their losses in the two games prior against Eastern Oregon and Lewis-Clark State College slow them down and came back with a vengeance.

The Saints will try to make it four in a row on Friday, Dec. 6, against Mayville State of North Dakota.
