Saints Track & Field performed well at both the Mountain States Games in Pocatello, Idaho and the Bobcat Performance Meet in Bozeman, Mont.
In Pocatello, Tucker Monaco jumped into the NAIA Top 16 with his debut Heptathlon for the Saints. He was steady through all seven events, ending Day 2 in first place and surpassing three athletes from Montana Tech. The Men’s Distance Medley Relay ran a gritty race to improve their time by around eight seconds from last week, but they narrowly missed the national qualifying mark.
In Bozeman, many Carroll athletes placed in the Top 5. This included Elias Hill (400m), Archie Lafurge (60m Hurdles), Bodie Smith (60m Hurdles), Weston Means (High Jump), Carter White (Long Jump), Bodie Smith (Long Jump), Cormac Benn (Long Jump), Daniel Koralewski (Mile), and Peter Rehberger (Mile) for the men. For the women, Callie Kaiser (High Jump), Alexis Cooney (High Jump), Sophie Loveless (Triple Jump), Madalen Shipman (400m), Sydney Lamb (Mile), Anna Terry (3000m), Hannah Sempf (3000m), and Jenna Castro (3000m) were Top 5 finishers.
There were also multiple personal records on the day. Koralewski, White, Lamb, Sempf, and Castro set personal bests, as did Rylee Herbstritt (60m Hurdles), Tim Sellars (Weight Throw), and Erika Arthur (3000m).
“I was so proud of how our athletes competed hard this weekend,” said Head Coach Harry Clark. “We have one more meet left in the regular season, and I can’t wait to see how we finish out indoor strong next week,” he added.
