CSA hosts festive bingo for students before finals

On Wednesday, Nov. 1, Carroll College Student Activities hosted Gobble Gobble Bingo in the Upper Cube at 7 p.m.

Gobble Gobble Bingo is one of many Carroll College activities for students to participate in. It is a time for students to relax after their classes and spend time with friends.

“It gets me out of my room to do something other than study and classes,” said Serena Keil-Hoye, a junior biology premed major from Kalispell, Montana “It’s also a good time to get to know more peers and forget about other things stressing you out. It’s really nice Carroll does things like this and it’s appreciated by the community.”

Students who found themselves with the lucky winning cards were awarded with Shellie’s Country Cafe pies. Shellie’s pies are a favorite among the student body, so many were vying for these coveted prizes.

“Bingo night was so fun,” said Josh Smalley, a junior civil engineering major from Missoula, Montana. “It’s so great that the school puts these events on that we can go to with our friends to enjoy time together. One of my friends won a cherry pie, and he let me have some of it, and it was delicious!”

Some bingo enjoyers were particularly lucky during the evening.

“Bingo was a lot of fun. Our table got quite the lucky set of cards, so we shared a few pies with the other folks,” said Mark Sorensen, a freshman biochemistry major from Spokane, Washington. “Activities like Bingo are a lot of fun, and it serves as a great break from homework and the other joys of college.”
