On Jan. 24-26, Carroll College women headed up to Camp Utmost in Greenough, Montana, for a weekend filled with prayer, friends, fun in the snow, and hot drinks.
This retreat has been a Carroll tradition for over 20 years. Camp Utmost has hosted it for eight of these years.
“It has been a wonderful way to kick off the new semester in prayer and friendship,” said Diedre Casey, the assistant director of Campus Ministry.
Laura Fontaine, a Chemistry and Spanish double major senior from Darien Center New York, attended this year. Fontaine said her favorite part was seeing faith in her friends’ faces.
“Getting to look around the circle, or the group I was in, whatever we were doing, be it outside or inside, and seeing their lovely faces and love for Christ and their striving to be like him.”
The retreat was filled with laughter, fellowship, fun in the snow, prayer, and some major dance parties.
“The emphasis was on story and how each and every one of us has a unique story and how God wants to be a part of all parts of it even if we don’t want to be a part of it sometimes,” said Josie Gale, a senior pre-med major from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
