Introduce yourself and what is your year and major?
My name is Stella Claridge, and I’m a senior, political science and communications major from Kalispell.

How and when did you get into photography?
I’ve always enjoyed it because my mom is a professional photographer, but I didn’t start doing it seriously until this year, when I realized that I could do more and broaden my career within photography if I wanted to go that route.

What is your favorite type of photography?
Sports! Some of my favorites have been football and track this year. I’ve focused mainly on Carroll teams, but I had the privilege of taking some at the Volleyball Conference Championship!

Was there a specific moment or a single photograph you took where you realized, “I’m actually good at this”?
When I shot a football game this fall and had a lot of people tell me that the photos were awesome!
Is there a photo you took that everyone else loves, but you secretly kind of hate?
No. I don’t show people the ones I hate.
What plans or goals do you have with your photography?
I would like to start shooting event work and miscellaneous projects. I’m not sure if it is going to be my career, but I love it and want to share that with people! I have an Instagram account @stellajc.media to get some of my work out there.
