Career Club, Carroll College’s newest student organiztion, provides opportunities for students to network, grow their resumes and build professional skills before graduation.
This club started as a tangent from a previous club, the Enactus Club. They plan to connect students with outside businesses and speakers around the Helena area.
Justin Denson, a senior from Portland, Oregon, majoring in Business: Management and Marketing, created the constitution for the Career Club.
“We want to allow Carroll Students to attend more networking events than just the ones Carroll hosts and allow club representatives to find projects that businesses would be willing to let Carroll students work through as consultants,” Denson said.
The Career Club plans to incorporate peer workshops, guest speakers, project workshops, business spotlights, and more. This will benefit students in their academic and professional journeys. Professor Annette Ryerson and Professor Adel Dimian will support and mentor this group of students.
Hank Stabolepszy, a Junior from Great Falls, Virginia, studying Business: Management and Marketing is the current president of the Career Club.
“I think this club will provide students with a variety of real world experiences that no other club could offer on the Carroll campus,” Stabolepszy said,
Other members on the executive board include Stella Adamczak, a junior from Palmer, Alaska, majoring in Business: Management and Marketing and minoring in Communications, Anna Kretzschmar, a senior from Anchorage, Alaska majoring in Business: Management and Marketing and minoring in Theology, and Chloe Raats, a junior from Bigfork, Montana, majoring in Business: Management and Marketing and minoring in Public Relations and Social Media. Adamczak is the Vice President, Kretzschmar is the treasurer, and Raats is the Secretary.
This club is open to all majors and everyone is encouraged to contribute their knowledge and connections in some way.
“I hope that this club will be a place where everyone wants to put in because of what they can get out of the club’s collective resources,” Denson said.
