As a key player for the Carroll College basketball team, he has combined skill, leadership, with a relentless work ethic.
Growing up in Carmichael, California Bryant didn’t find many outlets for an energetic kid like him. Bryant inherited his dad’s love of sports.
In high school Jordan was a dual sport athlete, dominating on both the court and track. While running a 4:44 mile and a sub-49 400 meter, Jordan had very high potential as a runner. However, his heart leaned towards basketball.
Jordan Bryant is a business marketing major from Carmichael, California. He was always a go-getter and self-motivated.
“In the fourth grade, I didn’t want to keep asking my mom for $5,” Bryant said. “I bought a big box of chips from the grocery store and sold them for a few bucks the next day at school.” Even as a boy he’s always been one step ahead of the curb.
COVID-19 disrupted his freshman year at Yuba College in Marysville, California. Staying in the gym and honing his craft kept him grounded during the pandemic. Despite the pandemic, Bryant left Yuba with first Team Bay Valley League recognition, a testament to his dedication and commitment to his craft.
When Bryant transferred to Carroll, he made an instant impact in the PE Center. He started eight games in his first year, shooting about 40 percent and while averaging just under four rebounds per game. He recorded one of the highest scoring efficiencies in the conference, at 1.18 points per touch.
Bryant’s talent contributed to the Saints reaching the conference tournament. “I had several different opportunities presented to me after my sophomore season,” Bryant said. “I chose Carroll because it was different from the rest. I wanted to experience a different lifestyle and I’m glad I did.”
Jordan is a fun-loving and laid-back guy. When he’s not playing basketball or making money, he’s usually playing video games, watching college or NBA basketball or even taking a walk.
“Jordan is one of the most interesting guys I have ever met,” said Trent Rogers, roommate and teammate. “One minute he’s doing yoga in the living room, the next he’s explaining the stock market. Really a jack of all trades,”.
Beyond the basketball court, Bryant has become a served the community. Actively involved in various community service projects, he is committed to making a positive impact on lives around him.
“‘Just Keep Going’ is an initiative that was started by one of my old teammates that I was heavily involved in,” he says. “Our goal is to motivate kids athletically and academically to keep pursuing their goals.”
Bryant explained how it is easy to find yourself in trouble as a youth in California. He motivates youth in his community to keep chasing their dreams. Bryant helps in any way he can whether supporting fellow minorities, donating time and money or mentoring young athletes.
Bryant is also the proud owner of a successful small business. His entrepreneurial spirit and business mindset have allowed him to successfully navigate the challenges of owning and operating a company while excelling in his academic and athletic pursuits. Specializing in graphic design, Bryant found a market in real estate and established a solid customer base.
Most recently he designed and shared a “Fight Lupus” campaign. As an able-bodied servant leader, he makes sure to let his values show on his sleeve. In tandem with his social media presence, Bryant utilizes his platforms for charitable causes.

Bryant is proactive in chasing his dreams. He has made preparations for tryouts and showcases over the summer. Even though he’s thinking ahead, he’s thankful for what he’s leaving behind.
“I’m so grateful for the experience Carroll has provided me.” Bryant said. “I’ve learned a lot and made so many new connections on and off the court. I’m looking forward to the future, but I could never forget the memories and friendships I have here.”
