On Wednesday, Nov. 12, Carroll College Student Activities hosted Gobble Gobble Bingo in the Upper Cube, giving students a chance to take a break from the daily grind and enjoy a night of fun and community.
Gobble Gobble Bingo is one of many events Carroll offers to help students relax, connect with friends, and take a pause from their busy academic schedules.
Don’t let the name fool you, this game is played exactly like normal bingo but is Thanksgiving inspired through the decorations and prizes for the winners.
The event drew a lively crowd eager for some friendly competition and tasty rewards.
“It was good,” said Sarah Shields, a senior majoring in business marketing and management from Portland, Oregon. “I love getting out of my room and meeting new people whom I wouldn’t meet on a regular basis.”
Winners of the evening were treated to Shellie’s Country Cafe pies, a student favorite known for their homemade flavors. The pies added extra excitement, with many students hoping to claim a sweet prize.
“Holy cow, I actually won something!” said Isabel Movie, a senior majoring in education from Everett, Washington. “ I never win anything at Bingo, so this was especially fun and helped me get out of my room!”
Beyond the games and prizes, the night was filled with laughter, conversation, and a sense of connection among students.
