The Fighting Saints Food Pantry at Carroll College is a vital resource dedicated to making sure that no member of the campus community, students, faculty, or staff has to go hungry.
The Pantry reflects the college’s commitment to supporting the well-being of every individual on campus.
The pantry is open on the first and third Thursdays of each month during the academic semester.
Visitors can select from a wide variety of essential food items at no cost, with no questions asked. The pantry is located in the Hunthausen Activity Center (HAC), providing a convenient and welcoming space for anyone in need.
“I think it’s a unique opportunity that Carroll has something available not only to students but also to faculty and staff,” said Beach Larsen, an administrative assistant at Carroll. “Especially with the hardships that are happening around our country right now.”
The pantry is stocked with an assortment of nutritious staples, including milk, cheese, eggs, ground beef, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, sauces, rice, peanut butter, and bread. The variety ensures that students and staff have access to the basics needed to prepare balanced meals.
Beyond providing groceries, the Fighting Saints Food Pantry serves as a source of support and reassurance for those facing food insecurity.
The pantry gives students a sense of relief when budgets are tight, helps faculty and staff during challenging times, and strengthens the sense of community on campus.
Carroll College views the pantry as more than just a place to pick up food – it’s a symbol of the college’s culture of care, compassion, and connection.
It allows members of the campus community to focus on their studies, work, and personal lives without the added stress of worrying about meals.
For anyone in need, the Fighting Saints Food Pantry is a simple yet powerful reminder that support is always available.
It reinforces the message that at Carroll College, everyone looks out for one another, ensuring that all members of the community can thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
