The Carroll College esports team has won its first national title, completing a flawless 10-0 season capped by a 3-0 victory over Northern Michigan University.
The Saints dominated the championship match, proving themselves as one of the top Overwatch teams in collegiate esports. Their strong teamwork and preparation paid off on the national stage.
Earlier in the season, Carroll College President Dr. John Cech received a commemorative jersey from the team.
“What these students have accomplished is nothing short of remarkable,” said Dr. Cech.
To rally support, the team hosted a watch party in the Cube on April 2. Students, faculty, and fans packed the space to cheer on the Saints as they began their championship run.
“They’ve worked hard all season and really earned this,” said one Carroll fan, “it’s cool to see something like esports bring the school together like this.”
The Saints’ season was marked by impressive consistency, communication, and resilience. Their ability to adapt under pressure helped them stay perfect against every opponent.
The win marks a historic milestone for Carroll’s esports program, which launched just four years ago. Key seniors now graduate with a legacy of leadership and success.
With a national championship trophy and an undefeated record, the Carroll College esports team has set the standard for what’s possible. And the program’s future looks just as bright.
